What We Do
We work where public
money meets public purpose.
Mozambique’s institutions face a constant challenge: delivering more with less, meeting international standards, and earning the trust of citizens and partners. We help them do it.
Public Financial Management
Budget execution, treasury systems, procurement reform, and fiscal transparency. We help governments account for every metical.
Governance and Reform
We design and implement Government-to-Government frameworks that strengthen ministries, agencies, and provincial administrations from the inside out.
Audit, Risk and Compliance
Zero-tolerance fraud protocols. ISO 37001 anti-bribery management. We build systems that protect institutions and the people they serve.
Areas of Expertise
Technical Assistance
We design, implement, monitor, and close out bilateral and multilateral projects, including Government-to-Government (G2G) agreements, from proposal to final report.
Public Systems Strengthening
We strengthen health, governance, and social protection systems, leveraging experience from Mozambique's major health-financing programs. Our work includes FORSSAS (Financial Sector Support and Strengthening Program, which improved accountability in public health spending), ECHO (Expanding Community Healthcare Outcomes, focused on expanding access to HIV and TB services), ICAP (International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs, which increased HIV treatment quality and coverage), AGIR (Action for Governance Improvement and Reform, which built resilient institutions at local and provincial levels), and PSM (Procurement and Supply Management program, ensuring consistent availability of medicines and supplies in health facilities).
Audit and Risk Management
We provide internal audit, fraud prevention, and risk management services that meet donor and government standards, including those of the U.S. State Department, the European Union, the World Bank, the AfDB, and the Government of Mozambique. This ensures institutions and public funds are protected and fully compliant with international best practices.
Financial Management
We build internal controls and manage budget formulation and execution in accordance with Mozambican, international, and major donor standards, including those of the U.S. State Department, the EU, the World Bank, and the AfDB. Our approach uses tailored, transparent tools for real-time budget visibility. We also prioritize capacity building, equipping client teams with practical skills and systems for sustainable, efficient financial operations beyond project completion.
Capacity Building
We train and mentor local and international teams to strengthen systems and build lasting institutional autonomy, ensuring progress continues after our involvement. Our approach combines interactive workshops, practical on-the-job training, and tailored coaching to develop hands-on skills and encourage learning by doing. This methodology builds technical capacity and empowers teams to lead and sustain improvements independently.
Sustainability and Strategy
We implement local content strategies and Domestic Resource Mobilization (DRM) initiatives to reduce donor dependency and build long-term, homegrown development financing. For example, we partnered with the Ministry of Health to develop a public-private partnership model for health facility maintenance, increasing locally generated revenue and ensuring sustainable funding for ongoing operations beyond external donor cycles.
Strategic Communications
We help institutions translate complex technical work into clear, credible narratives for donors, governments, and the public, protecting reputation and building visibility for effective initiatives.
Our Experience. Our Network. Our Future Partnerships
MBridges is a new organization, but it is built on decades of collective professional experience. Our team and associates bring backgrounds spanning public institutions, international development, private enterprise, civil society, communications, policy, and economic development.

Building New Partnerships
As MBridges grows, we are actively seeking to build meaningful partnerships with institutions that share our commitment to private-sector growth, sustainable development, innovation, and inclusive economic transformation in Mozambique and beyond.
